THE
PROGRAMS: HIGH SCHOOL INTERALLIANCE CHAPTERS
The INTERalliance is best perceived as a "professional society",
with core values and principles to which its members subscribe.
High school members join their university and industry colleagues
in a collaborative effort to stimulate interest and participation
in Information Management and Information Technology-related careers,
and to promote and capitalize upon the unprecedented resources and
opportunities in the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Region.
The chapter of the INTERalliance formed and sustained in each high
school provides a framework for students to embark on additional
site visits, invite in speakers from colleges and industry, and
host events open to INTERalliance members from chapters all over
the region. INTERalliance-brokered internships and the nomination
of 10th graders for the upcoming IT Careers Camp season are coordinated
by working committees of the high school chapter. Typical standing
committees include the Membership Committee, Special Events Committee
(coordination of events open to all INTERalliance-member high schools),
Technical Programs Committee (coordination of events attended only
by members of the hosting chapter), and the Executive Advisory Committee
(chaired by the Student Coordinator and comprised of the faculty
and staff supporting the INTERalliance programs). |
