THE PROGRAMS: SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

A 5-student team will display the sponsoring company's logo on their shirts and on their team flag. They are referred to throughout the session by the Corporate name, e.g., "Team P&G", "Team Cintas", Team Fifth Third", etc., as they compete against three other teams for gold, silver, and bronze "Olympic" medals at each Corporate site visit. Employees of the sponsoring company are invited to join the team at any time during the week, and assist them in the current competitive event, in addition to bonding with the members and heightening brand awareness.

A sponsoring company is encouraged to host a behind-the-scenes site visit by four teams. The students compete in critical-thinking problem-solving exercises that give them a glimpse of the business challenges faced every day in the sponsoring company's operations. The senior IT management team of the sponsoring company is invited to have lunch with the students, pass out business cards, and begin an early "recruiting" process by introducing the students to the career opportunities available at their firm.

2007-2008 Sponsorship Fee per 5-student Team: $5,000

Recommended Additional Sponsor Participation:
  • Host a two-hour morning behind-the-scenes site visit by 20 students and 6 staff, featuring critical thinking competitive "Olympic"-style events (programming to be coordinated / co-designed by INTERalliance staff)
  • Host a Lunch Session with the students and the sponsor's IT Executives / IT Management Team
  • Use of logo for team T-shirts, printed collateral
Other Available Contributions (in-kind named-sponsor donations and grants for):
  • Food
  • Transportation
  • Awards
  • Premiums
  • Evening Special Events (prizes for contests, barbecues, etc.)

FEEDBACK
FROM THE 2007
SUMMER IT CAMPS!

Changing the lives and perspectives of 80 of Cincinnati's brightest young minds!

For four weeks starting on July 16th, twenty graduating 10th graders each week got to experience a deep dive into the world of Information Technology at some of the Greater Cincinnati region's leading employers.

The students were nominated by their high schools for a wide variety of reasons, each responding to the request from the INTERalliance for students "who would get the most out of being shown what's available right here in Cincinnati in the way of career opportunities in IT."

The 80 students were selected from 16 local college-prep high schools, including Cincinnati Country Day, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, Cincinnati Christian Schools, Hughes Center HS, Indian Hill HS, Mount Notre Dame HS, Mother of Mercy High School, St. Henry's District High School, St. Ursula Academy, St. Xavier HS, Summit Country Day School, Sycamore High School, Ursuline Academy, Walnut Hills HS, Western Hills University High School, Withrow University High School. Sixty-five percent of the nominated students were young women!
